Local server

by irksomeduck » Post

Me and my younger brother wanted to play a LAN server yesterday, so just us could play on it. Is there a way to create a local server without all this port forwarding buisness?

It was over two computers on the same IP.

Yes.

A) Do you have a Belkin router?

B) Try 192.168.1.2 : 30000 or 30011 (if used singleplayer tab) then variate 1.2/100 until it connects.

It can be 192.168.2.1 if YOU OWN BELKIN ROUTER.

If you have DHCP; (or an auto-LAN ip addresser, it would be 192.168.1.1 = router 1.2 = 1st computer 1.3 2nd computer and so on. It stops at 100 as a factory default (might be different on other machines).
