Hi everyone,
First i want to say: Minetest is brilliant! I play not so long (few days) but i enjoy this game a lot.
The rest isn't connected to Minetest, but to making that sort of games.
Anyway - i was thinking if it was a good idea to make a game similar to Minetest, but based on 3D hex?
I even prepared a visualization (in 3D software) for something like this:
I think it's a really good idea, but it may be hard to implement.
Luckily Minetest is opensource. If anyone has really good programming skills and can do this I would be really happy.
And definitely play it

Thanks for a good word. I agree: this would have to be another game, since even adding an item scripting to Minetest is a problem. And if i understood correctly, Celeron55 doesn't want to make a game upon his work (as he said in other topic) so this isn't gonna happen.
Sorry for offtop, but i really can't understand why someone could intentionally force to stop his great work.. That's sad for me.
Nono, i didn't say Celeron dumped his work, i just said that his work could be improved by Minetest community. Minecraft's community enjoys making plugins and see what others can do with it. As i'm a 3D graphic designer the first thing i had downloading Minetest was how it will be making my own stuff in this great opensource game.
