I started to watch his LP after I found Minetest.
He also made a "Let's Test" for Manic Digger, but he should make one for Minetest.

At the beginning of 2011. I was looking for a free alternative to Minecraft then I stumbled on Minetest which was very primitive at this time.
Not here for a while due to some troubles between my graphic card and Minetest.

I started on July 6th 2011, even though I had Minecraft a while before that date (and still played it).

There's no reason for doing that.

The people at Mojang will not fix Java or anything.
Also 95% of the people that say "I quit Minecraft" haven't bought it.

I started in late February or early March, 2012, just before the 0.3.x->0.4.x transition. Originally came looking for something equivalent to Redstone since I'd seen videos of really cool creations made with it. I wanted to try my hand at it, found Mesecons, but never actually got deep into making such creations as I'd originally intended to.

I came at 0.4.2 around a month before i joined the forums. I started by editng mods and stupidly tried to develop my npc mod when i knew nothing about lua. I originally came because my mom didn't want me to have minecraft because it needed an account on mojang.com and not minecraft.net so i came searching for a clone.

Feb 22nd, 2012.

My first experience was dev-02- something -02. It was awesome. My bro and I built a skyscraper out of leaves and cobble(!). I was floored. It was euphoric. I didn't update until 0.4.1. Many server folders later, I finally have a LAN server I'm proud of. We did everything to that dev possible: nazi zombies, super mario, Smokin' Guns-

- and I want to do it eventually to the latest stable.

The screenshot topic is quite "official" and has a lot of entries. Its one important part of this forum.

Got 0.3 when 0.4.3 was already out, then I found out about 0.4.3, so I've been playing about 3 or 4 months since when I first played 0.3.1. I think I started around February 2013 :)

About a month ago I found a link somewhere on the website of the Free Software Foundation.
Being sick of commercial and proprietary rubbish I was looking there for games "with a soul".
I tested a lot of the games introduced there. Some I liked, others not.
When I gave Minetest (0.4.6) a try I immediately liked it.

Since I've always liked modifying games, although never released a mod, I took a look at the forums here.
After reading some threads, testing some mods and looking at code I decided that this was the game I wanted to play and mod.

Above I read something about people that quit Minecraft.
Well... I guess I'm one of the 5%. ;)

Noob 4 life!
My stuff
