thank you for minetest
I just wanted to say that I appreciate all the work that you all have put into making minetest work, especially since you don't seem to earn any money for your work. I wish I could donate, but I can't afford to right now. Thank you.

Minetest is my favorite building game and I am glad that it is still being worked on.

Minetest is alot better in my opinion. I have minecraft but I play minetest a whole lot more because; first, it has a better community; second, The LUA based script is more simpler allowing me (12 yr old) mod without much effort and simplicity, Finally its so much easier to handle, especially on my laptop.
Me too. I got one of my friends (minecraft player he is) playing minetest, he likes playing it, thinks mt has got alot of potential.Element wrote:i think minetest is better than minecraft
all of my other minecraft-playing mates tell me to play minecraft and the minetest is boring and useless, then again, i just tell them that they are jealous, cos they wasted $25 bucks on mc. they dont seem to understand that minetest will get better overtime.
I play both minetest and minecraft. Minetest has a fgreat community with awesome server(/me sees vanessae's survival server). But also minecraft has servers with Call of Duty, hunger games, spleef, and a bunch of other plugins but I don't know anyone there cause the plxsayer population. Both games are good oin different aspects pretty ,much.Josh wrote:Me too. I do agree. Minecraft has more a finished feel to it and it has way more nodes in it cause the developers arwent afraid to add a mod.Aqua wrote:Quick Question to Developers.
Now that I have PayPal and actually earn money from YouTube, I can donate. If I do donate, who will receive my money?
Minecraft is better. Admit it.
Although Minetest isn't all that bad as well

Yes, I have played minecraft a bit, and it feels more stable. It also appeals to the more adventurous people who don't want to be constantly gathering materials for a build that they are doing. Minetest will get better though, and I can't wait to see where we are a year from now.Aqua wrote:Quick Question to Developers.

yes. Sadly people compare minecraft now to minetest now instead of mincraft at the same Dev point compared to minetest Dev point now.Evergreen wrote:Yes, I have played minecraft a bit, and it feels more stable. And also, keep in mind we are not a company. The devs are only doing it because they want to, not because they are paid.(like mojang) So don't expect too much from the devs either.jojoa1997 wrote:yes. I've been here for sometime now, and development speed has increased by 10x than it used to.
There was times where we got no updates for months on end. Back then, there was no nodeboxes, animated blocks, etc.
We had limited stuff, I managed to make an animated TV, but that required CPU power, eg, to change one node to the next.

well also don't forget there was a lot less people who new about minetest and only a fraction that could help with the engine. Now we have way more people.Jordach wrote:I've been here for sometime now, and development speed has increased by 10x than it used to.

So other developers, like you, don't earn a cent? o.OPilzAdam wrote:You can donate here: http://minetest.net/supportAqua wrote:Quick Question to Developers.
