using the teleport priv, i managed to get down to -300 K.

on Tunnler's abyss, i managed to get down to -10 K.

I've dug a 3x3 shaft for an elevator down to 10k, using a digtron. A bit of a chore, but being able to alt-tab and do other stuff while digging, and only having to stop for lava and water made it bearable.

Why? Because it's there.

Lots of dungeons, caverns, crevasses, water, lava, and rats! Lived on rats. Cook them in a forge.

Explored lots of caverns and crevasses. Got lost, a lot, kind of. Always made my way back to the main line of dig.

If you decide to try, bring lots of timber. Full logs, don't break them up into planks or sticks till you need them.
The only thing you will need, that you won't find under ground, is torch, pick, and shovel handles.
Also needed for Post Lamps and tracks.

Started with 3 chests full of jungle wood. Dig about 300m then go back and get the chests. Dig and repeat.
Had to stop 1/2 way through to go back to the surface to get more wood.

Built a really nice castle in a cavern, just above bottom. It has 7+ levels, including tower, dungeon, great hall, kings chambers, &c.

Left huge amounts of stuff, ingots, blocks of metals, mese blocks, diamond blocks, coal blocks, &c.
And of course, cooked rat meat.



Left a note in a locked chest, hidden somewhere in the castle. It's for my granddaughter, to find the key to open it. It has a book with the user name and password for the game admin. If she finds it, she will be able to give herself all sorts of things, including teleport to the surface.

I dug from the surface down to the bottom of LinuxForks server with a purpose-made digtron that replaced the walls with stone, placed glo stone and made a ladder. The hardest part is probably fuelling the thing and replacing the stone! Total real-life time was probably somewhere close to a full-time job for a week.
