Looking at the screenshots, it looks like you just added noise.

Take a base texture (say stone)
create or use another texture, add bump mapping, etc. if you like... lay it over the base texture using which ever image editor you prefer, then set the transparency for your overlay texture (and other settings) as you like, then export the new image.
This is one way of producing really nice 3d effect textures, as well as keeping a color scheme for various textures without all the headaches...

The textures do not tile well, other then that they look good.
Maybe you should rename this texture pack to "Frosty the texture pack".
