Looking for free 16×16 Minecraft textures

Hi! This question goes to the Minecrafters out here. ;-)

For the subgame MineClone 2, I am looking for a new resource pack for Minecraft, so I can use them in this subgame. Yes, Minecraft. I will do the conversion myselves. I am only interested in the textures. I need the following:

• VERY important: Liberal license (should allow copying, modification and usage of ANY kind)
• 16×16
• Ideally, the textures should roughly have the kinda same look-and-feel as Minecraft
• It should be relatively up to date (1.11.0 would be great)

The last requirement might be the hardest, so if you know older texture packs, fine. I could try to combine some of the texture packs. I myself have no clue of Minecraft texture pack and it is pretty hard for me to wade through the forums, especially since there are so many “esotherical” textures. I am grateful for any suggestion. :-)

Did you check the mcresconvert thread? Fixer listed a ton of texture packs, most with usable licenses, that it can convert automatically fairly well.
