All of the normalmaps will be thoroughly tweaked, one by one, once the entire set is finished.

Is this by just compiling the image resources Kenney has made available? If so, achieving 47% Minetest Game texture coverage by those alone is great!

Just a matter of going through, resizing most and setting the names.
Others require rearranging/manipulating images for missing textures.

at the end, I will add which textures were put together by myself in the license, but using as much as I can from the original work, trying to keep with the style.

It's definitely a fun set. Kenney's work is beautifully done.

The normals I have done need to be tweaked later. For some of them I just did one for, say stone_brick, then simply duplicated and renamed for the other brick types. Most of the ones created so far, were just to do it, as well as to keep some textures from being shadowed out while the shaders are on.

I'm not sure what you mean? I am attempting to keep true to the original colors of the artwork in the pack.
There are some I felt a need to tone down the contrast a bit, (the grass for instance)

I like this texture pack, I'm definitely going to use it, but, just for personal preference, I desaturated all of the stone-based textures because I didn't like the bluish color.

the pack is far from finished, and I am not sure when I will get to working on it further. Just so you are aware.

If you like, I can upload my changes and submit a pull request (The main thing that's changed is a couple color adjustments and texture additions)

Slowly working on bringing this pack up to 0.5.

I'm not happy with the metal tones and a few others but I've filled in a fair few missing textures in default, think I have about 6 left to do in default. I've also re-exported everything at native 64x64px and saving working svg files as I go.

hopefully I'll be done on default very soon and then can move onto doors,wool, farming etc.

Looks great
I'm really glad that a couple people continued work on this pack.
I lost interest in it only because it is not really a style I like to use. And I chose 48px just for the hell of it (can't recall why)

It might be a good idea to make a 32px option as well.
And I also never got around to fixing the water texture (it is off/broken at the edges)

It was fun to work on at first for me, and glad to see someone else having fun with it.
It might also be a good idea to drop Kenney a link so he can check it out, and be certain to leave all his info, links, credits, etc. in tact.

I have a feeling, once actually completed, this may become quite a popular pack.
I had pictured it being Minetest Game's equivalent to PureBDCraft for MC

Yes i'll definitely give Kenney and yourself credit :).

I like the idea of 32px option so I'll definitely do a down sample on the 64px once I've got them all done.

I just wrapped up default, thanks for the tip on the water, I hadn't spotted that all fixed now. I'm currently working my way down the mods list for MTG not very far down (upto carts alphabetically). I'll probably do 3D Armour as well before uploading anything, so Ill have covered full MTG + 3d Armour as a start.

I actually have another texture pack I've slowly been working on based on the dungeon crawl stone soup textures but at 32px. I need to finish it off although it is further along, I got stuck on mobs_animal specifically chickens....anyways I'll make a new topic for it at some point.

Anyways back to it I go :)

Just finished up all the base MTG textures, was a fair few to create from scratch, which is what took so long...

I'll do an initial upload to git hub tomorrow and post a link. At the moment I've only done 64px and haven't had a chance to run every texture through Gimp to cleanup all semi-transparent pixels. Still from what I can tell its usable, if not 100% right yet.
