Because i realy dislike how in MT_game and many mods the planks are just hue shifted recolorations of the original.

Of course it took me until the posting that i noticed i created 32x32 instead of 16x16 textures. *facepalm*
Posted in hopes to inspire greater wooden diversity. Feel free to use my textures in you mod / texturepack.

edit:
Now in TexturePack form:

Left the eye searing orange in and the dark texture for junglewood is included, you just have to rename it.

Here you have something that actualy fits in with the vanilla textures.

not sure about licensing with this one, as it is based on the original

There's some decent but the same repeat colorization of the wood planks

I am sorry, but I realy don't understand what you are trying to say. That the individual planks in the texture should look more different?

BTW: Can anyone tell me how to scale the immage up? Than you.

The textures look intresting. While I don't think that the basic texture of diffrent wood types ought to be diffrent (as suggested here), I do enjoy diffrent textures. Perhaps these here can be turned into a small mod that adds some blocks for building? The textures need to be seperate files for that purpose.

Gerold: Looks good. I realy like how the wood and tree textures are simmilar yet subtly different. Though I still don't get your first post?

Sokomine: Thanks, thoug this was mostly an experiment. The first one is so ugly i would rather redo it from scratch if I made mod out of it. I like the second best, because it uses the greatest range of hues while still looking good.
