No but i dont think that texturepacks should be changed to an extent. Due to the way minecraft does it only certain textures can be copied over. If anything i will have it get say the lava block(still image) from the lava flow animation. Mod support for certain mods will be added cause of minecraft having stuff(mesecon)

Try it out. Also read the readme file it has important info. I have added a repo of some of the texture packs I have converted due to the flexibility that minecraft texture pack makers have and some of the items being in different formats there might be messed up blocks and there will be missing blocks like the chest and sign.

Tomorrow I will be releasing a one file does it all download. This pretty much makes the block and items folder turn into a ready to go texture pack no extra work needed.

You know that the distributing texture packs are against the users wishes right?

Repo removed due to texture pack maker wishes.

Updated to current default and now you just have to copy the batch file into the texture pack.

Warning if you use it and want to release a texture pack please check the files. for example torches are not animated but when on floor, no torch texture, some images may be messed up in size, cactus needs to be filled in around edge. there are alot more depending on the texture packs

This doesn't work anymore. Minecraft texture pack file structures have changed a lot since this was made.

Awww even for only version 1.5.x this is still incredibly useful, but the links no longer work and the github project is gone.

yeah sorry I got rid of it when the new style of textures for minecraft was added. Though I will probably make a version for 1.6. Does anyone have a copy of the converter that I could work on?

You can use imagemagick or gimp scripts to do stuff like that.
