I have the "locale" folder from the minetest ZIP-Folder. Can I just place it in the "Program Files/Minetest" directory?
(And of course adding "language = xx" to my minetest.conf file).
Not familiar with using anything other than English with Minetest. This should work just like the regular Minetest client, it just stores everything in a different place
can we hope for a Minetest-Installer version 5.4.x?
🤩🤩🤩
Greetings,
Andoh
I reset my Windows boot and don't have the internet needed to download Visual Studio again. So I'm now looking into compiling an installer via Github Actions
Cool. Why is it not like this by default from the project's downloads page? I think the unzip method is a bit too confusing for Windows users who are used to running executable installers.

Hello,
Indeed, it would be more convenient for Windows users and I hope it will happen very soon.
If you wanted to test out the release candidate this build should work.
Note that if you update you won't be able to revert back to any older Minetest versions
Are you saying that this release cannot be uninstalled, and a previous version reinstalled?
I'd really like to test the latest commits to the release candidate, but prefer a portable version of MT, or at least one that doesn't require admin privileges to install to windows locked c:\programfiles folder.
If I install this, can I simply copy / move the MT folder out, and then uninstall this .msi? And does the installer require admin privs to install?

If you run the installer msi a second time you can choose to remove Minetest, I don't know if that removes your appdata (Settings, mods, etc) or not though.
Lone, I wanted to thank you for your excellent work with this game! Real!
Congratulations!
I really wanted to ask you if it would be possible to compile the game with ncurses, because my server is Windows based, and unfortunately I couldn't compile it.
I used mt on windows to give commands without having to leave the server. Could you help me, please?
