hi I have played Minetest for 4 months with version 0.4.17.1.
but I will confirm when the latest version of Minetest will be present {please answer}

I'm sure you don't mean to sound rude. But you do. Minetest is a hobby project, and people don't like to get ordered to respond quickly during their hobby time :-).

This is not the helpdesk for some paid project.

The latest version will be released when it's deemed stable enough. I don't know when that will be.

I do know it's already available if you want it. Just look in the 'builds' topic.

Lol u w0t m8. Those who installed 0.4.16 waited a whole year for a new stable release - and it's still counting for those who cannot use the latest Android version due to driver issues.
If you want a recent release, get a build from this subforum: Windows, MacOS, *buntu, All OS, Rick Astley.

"It's done when it's done". Wait for it. If you're lucky then it's within a year.

I assume 5.0.0 will not be released before late Q1/2019.

all i can think each time i read "it's ready when it's ready" i think of john carmack stating a regret of his was always saying "it's ready when it's ready."

He's probably so impatient because he doesn't know that others games exist. He thinks that when when 0.5.0.0 will be released a load of new features will be added into MTG.
