We have older, more traditional cyrillic writing system, which we use officially, in schools, etc. But online, it seems simpler to write latin letters, as to not change keyboard layouts every time we start typing stuff in other languages. Both latin and cyrillic scripts are official writing systems.Sergey wrote:Hello from Russia.
Guys, I can't understand what alphabet is in serbian language. Here I see cyrillic as well as latin letters. And both are serbian? Why?
I know many countries with two (or more) official languages. But having one official language with two official alphabets... this is weird.lisacvuk wrote:We have older, more traditional cyrillic writing system, which we use officially, in schools, etc. But online, it seems simpler to write latin letters, as to not change keyboard layouts every time we start typing stuff in other languages. There is only one official language and only one „alphabet“ by constitution of Serbia. Everything else people do with our language is (self)destructing formula. By that formula, Serbian translation of Minetest is in source in location „Sr_Cyrl“ which operating systems in Serbian localization do not recognize, and average people cant use localized game. Proper folder in game source should and must be „Sr“.Sergey wrote:I know many countries with two (or more) official languages.
