[Nvm]punch with open hand to activate?

does the hand have an itemstring or alias i can use in get_wielded_item() to make it so you can only activate the
on_punch of a node with the hand?

i think there is but youll have to ask someone else for exact.
Try looking at itemframes.
they empty and place if the item is not hand
but only empty if hand
