I've noticed that entities get the black surface when they are in the same coordinate of a node, but I want to know if there is any way to avoid this (anyway except remove the node).
Maybe it's possible through some entity property.

Re: How to avoid black surface in entities
I believe that it is only when the collision box intersects a node that the entity turns black.

Re: How to avoid black surface in entities
The entity light is taken from the node where it is in. This means that when the entity position is inside a solid (non translucent) node, it will turn black entirely. To solve this problem, you can change the collision and selection box, so it will collide earlier with the surrounding nodes.
