I was just thinking that maybe it would be cool to make a bread maker for MT. The bread maker would spin and be mixing in all of the ingredients like a real bread oven.

Utility-wise, I see little need for such a mod.
Even with hunger, it is more easy to get foodstuff with mods like
* farming/farm-plus (several fruits/crops/cake/cookies)
* animal-mobs/bbq/wine (meat, burgers / wine, beer.)
* xdecor (honey, cauldron).

But that mustn't stop you from creating another decorative mod :)

My cottages mod comes with a handmill and a treshing floor. Not as fancy as a modern bread maker but useful for hungry people as well. Perhaps your bread maker could be a general mixer that produces milkshakes and ice cream?

This reminds me of an idea i had to improve the method of obtaining the different bread types provided by my mod.
I was thinking there could be a special furnace named the "Bread Oven" which works like a normal furnace but with a modifier input.

How this would work is the player will put dough in the input slot (different amounts of dough required for different bread), and add a modifier item.

The modifiers could be like "steel cross bars" combined with a "Bun-shaped Wooden Cut-out" to acquire a "Hot-cross Bun", or a "Bagel-shaped Wooden Cut-out" to acquire that delicious bagel-and-cream-cheese you crave in the morning :-).
