I'm fairly new around here, and have been exploring modding minetest. While I'm starting to get the hang of it, I'm still rather confused about node/item groups.
Some (such as cracky and oddly_breakable_by_hand) appear to change how fast a node is broken - but I'm unsure as to how this works specifically - I've looked and I can't find a detailed enough explanation. The numbers (e.g. oddly_breakable_by_hand = 3,) in particular I'm confused about.
Others appear to give the nodes special properties.
Is there a reference of what the different node groups do anywhere at all?
Many thanks :-)

Thanks for the link! I found this page: https://rubenwardy.com/minetest_modding ... #dig-typesKCoombes wrote:Start here: https://rubenwardy.com/minetest_modding ... index.html
...but it doesn't explain what the number is. Does the 3 in the example mean that it's really easy to break, or really hard?
