Does occlusion culling work with the mesh draw type?
Lets say i generate a whole world using mesh draw types. Will nodes that are not visible be culled?

No.
You could manually use airlike nodes.
But mapblocks would also still not be culled (you need solid nodes for this (mesh nodes can't be solid afaik)).
