LMD wrote:Thank you, too ! But also remember KGMs contributions in here(tnta & entire magic stuff will be by him).
Should I add submarines ?
Aircrafts will be added for sure. (thinking of airplanes & hot air ballons / zeppelins)
For the parachute part, webD97 s mod seems to suit best.
hummm, the airplanes will be great!
but i dont see the submarines part, dont think it would be a good idea
Hi ! Back from holidays ! I've been quite busy in the holidays, and added much stuff ! Created air vehicles, fixed many bugs, improved tnta further, added a bunch of firearms ! (laser beam guns, laser guns, all in different sizes, normal guns(shotgun, pistol, sniper, smg) with a GREAT new FIREARM engine.
Bonus : Rocket & Grenade Launchers, tho grenades can also be thrown by hand. There are : smoke, flash, gas and normal = explosive grenades. Grenades explode(as in real life) not on hit, but after a fixed time(default 7.5 secs)
rockets explode on hit. There are three rockets, all with different speed/explosion radius ratio. They have a nice particle effect and can ONLY be launched using launcher.
There are 3 bows : Crossbow, Longbow, and Shortbow, all will have different stats, arrows are in all tiers !!!)
The website will inform you further, it's also quite far, but I still have to insert links.... (phew)
Created a GitHub Organization !!!!!!!
github.com/magicctf
That will grant us the website : magicctf.github.io
I would really like to release this soon, as it's pretty close - a week or so and it'll be really fine. But however, as mentioned above, serious exams(not talking bout school) are approaching us and we'll have to take our time to study. That will delay the release by a month or so. Anyway, further delays are unfortunately entirely possible, as that's not all - Contests will come, school starts again... phew...
I am considering whether we should try to make contributing easy, as Magic-CTF will need much balancing and so...
Some hints have bad grammar and are hard to understand, this is explainable because english is not your native language, so i thought id help out:
1. "Always have an escape plan when trying to bring the enemy's flag home".
2. "Wait till the enemy is distracted before you try to steal their flag".
3. "Helping your teammates increases your chance of victory".
4. "Don't sabotage your team".
5. "Use firearms to take on the enemy from a distance".
6. "Use the shield skill to guard yourself from magic".
7. "Magic spells can seep through walls and most armor".
8. "Poison can spread from nearby inflicted players".
9. "Large parasites can kill instantly, use traps to kill them".
10. "Manadrain staves can be used to weaken the enemy before finishing them off".
11. "Spawners can supply you with useful items".
12. "Loot chests for gear at the beginning of a game".
13. "Use teamwork to win the game".
14. "Experiment with combining magic skills".
14. "Your heal spell will heal you more for every ally it reaches".
15. "Share resources with your teammates".
These are to replace all the hints expect this one: "Assault together, fight together, win together".

"Also i'm not able to code anything useful within minetest, sorry."
- don't be so pessimistic ! Also, there is a huge community that can help you(including me).
Your first project can be whatever you like to make.
When I started modding, Lua wasn't easy for me too, as it had a quite low resemblance to other programming languages I had learned before.
But after some time, you sort of "get the idea, the concept" behind Lua, and then it's goddamn simple for you.
This should help you : https://learnxinyminutes.com/docs/lua/
