I vaguely remember reading somewhere that it's NOT a good idea (i.e. not secure?, not best practices?) to put subgames in the /usr/share/minetest/games/ directory for multiplayer servers. Is that true?
All of the sources I find suggest putting the subgame files in that folder for both clients and servers. I tried adding a /games/ directory to the world directory (i.e. /home/username/mtworld/games/), but that didn't work and I don't see any documentation saying that it would work.
Thanks for the clarification.
Location of Subgames in Minetest File Hierarchy for Server
Re: Location of Subgames in Minetest File Hierarchy for Serv
Create a games directory inside the /.minetest directory itself...

that's /home/username/.minetest/games/ to clarify.

Ah, yes. That's the place I didn't think to try. Thank you!
