Go check out the last 3 pages of the HomeTowne server thread.
There are multiple posts where someone quotes entire posts by others
with a 2-3 character response....multiple times in a row
it's ridiculous.

I just checked the HOMETOWN topic and indeed it is over 100 pages long. Many of the posts have nothing to do with the server and are just random banter that is best suited for IRC or in-game chat. Also most of the replies seem to be nothing more than "lol" or "xD" with multiple prior posts quoted for no apparent reason. It appears to be out of control.

I've come across plenty of lively discussions within these forums. Even Cash's World has a reputation for some very intense conflicts, but it's never been overtaken with hundreds of posts of senseless chatter.

Sometimes ppl might be away from their gaming pcs, so they just chat in the forums instead of ingame. People have been telling EDad that we need IRC for HOMETOWN, but nothing really happened :P

For some reason this has never posed an issue for players of other Minetest servers, even those that don't have IRC.

Why not just use the private forum that is already setup at http://www.hometownserver.com ?
