while I don't think Minetest being on steam is a bad idea, I just think it is mis-timed atm, waite until 0.5.0 comes out.

Super Tux Kart recently got onto Steam. But it would have been ill-suited for them to do before the ~9.0 update which really added some much needed polish to bring it in line with commercial games. Minetest needs to have its "9.0 update" first. EDIT: basically what ThomasMonroe just said... I would say wait beyond even 0.5.0

Maybe even wait until 0.6.0 because it might include better graphical options.
