I've noticed that sometimes it is really troublesome when exploring a world far away from home a player cannot check out the coordinates of his base. I know that there's a compass mod which probably allows to show the direction of the home, but nevertheless I think that since there're commands to set home and return there, there should be also available info about home coordinates from the game console level by default ('/show home' or a similar command). It is important e.g. when you find another epic landscape and are not sure whether this could be a better place to build than the previous one and returning to the home means usually that such point of interest is to be found again (or lost) if it is distant from the starting point.

The second idea is to make possible setting multiple homes. In larger landscaping projects, e.g. when building cities or megastructures it would greatly facilliate building process and the speed of construction. And this is not about Travelnet or POI mods which are probably more suitable for a non-creative gameplay. I think that such improvement would be of huge importance to builders. What do you think? I suppose that both features can be easily implemented in the default game.

I think that's a very good idea. Because I often find more beautiful landscapes than where my house stands.

The same with me. I even once had to create a txt file with coordinates of nice mountains in a tweaked mg valleys world. But the second proposal is much more practical, I conceived it when had to fly tens of times over 400 nodes with each slightest improvement of the building I'm working on, due to its symmetry and height. This unnecessarily consumes significant amount of time (and World Edit cannot help in this case).

I know that you are wanting this functionality in the default game but you should check into the Travelpoints mod viewtopic.php?t=8021. It adds several commands that do what you want, as well as teleport pads, and supports servers as well as single player. I personally never bother with the pads, but the commands are quite handy.
