Dual-wielding in Minetest

Dual wielding

Here I am not referring to a Minecraft feature.

Instead I am saying that if dual-wielding is implemented in Minetest,with a proper api at the core ,then it will find a lot of use among modders (IMHO in terms of combat as well as other aspects).

I have myself started working on a game (where combat is an essential part) and thought that dual-wielding can give a boost to the combat mechanics.
So it is my request to the core-developers to implement dual-wielding as soon as possible.

Please share your views regarding dual-wielding (as IMHO it can give huge boost to Minetest)

I am a new member but I would be glad to be part of this wonderful community!!!

Since Minetest must always be better, it should be implemented like multiple wielding. Any mod could change the count of wielded items at once, so there could be a mod that allows you to wield 10 items at once. Or it can just keep realistic, 2 items.
If you lack the reality, go on a trip or find a job.

Yes that way we will also be able to support a mutant spider ;) as the playing charecter.
Along with that there should also the ability to wield same tool using multiple slot(both hand ,for example double handed sword).
