Join Minetest Server from web link

I had the idea that you could join to a Minetest Server from a web link. Something like Zoom links, where on click the Zoom Client launches and you join a meeting. Or Discord links, where it launches Discord from the link in the browser. That would be very cool, as you could easily share friends the server you´re playing on.
