Cloud shadows?

I am asking just in case it didn't cross the mind of the author of the dynamic shadows feature (who was certainly all busy making it work all right). Is it on the todo list? Not possible? Too expensive?

No, unrealistic. In real life clouds do not produce "shadows" cos are high in the sky, but light decreases. A cloudy day is a gray day.

With the current implementation of shadow mapping the result is not really good. Also because the game often renders thick cloud layer, most of the world will be in the shadow, making shadow mapping useless.

Some people never saw the real sky in their entire life ;)

It depends on the weather. On a cloudy day when all is covered with clouds, there are no cloud shadows. But when there are single clouds in summer over the land, there are cloud shadows:
