Alright, I hope some of you have already played Clonk, but in case you haven't, go here and try Clonk Endeavour (it's free).
Basically, Clonk is German produced 2D building game. For a comparison most of you are familiar with, it's a lot like Terraria, in that it's 2D, you control a lil dude who goes around building, shaping the land and killing the mobs in a sandbox world. It focuses heavily on building and economy, and as such has some very good things that would fit quite well IMO in Minetest.
For example, the process of building, say, armour, consists of
>gather resources stone and wood for building an anvil and a forge
>gather ore and coal from mines
>smelt yourself some metal
>create armor at anvil, wear it
It's very Settlers-ish, and while some parts of Clonk wouldn't work well due to minetest's current one man does all -policy (Clonk has you controlling many Clonk men at a time) there are many that would.
Basically what I'm saying is play Clonk for two reasons. 1. It's fun 2. It has a lot of things that can give you ideas for implementing into Minetest.
That is all.
