Left click: "attack" key, hit someone with a sword or attack stone with a pickaxe.
Right click: "use" key, place blocks, consume food.
F: "interact" key, open chests, furnaces, board vehicles, ect...
WASD: "movement" keys, what you'd expect.
C: "camera" key, change camera angle (replaces f7).
E: "sprint/fast" key.

The pvp can be fixed by using a "hunger" mod.
This way you heal like in Minecraft.

There are multiple hunger mods available that restore the hunger value and with that your health gets restored over time instead of instantly healing.Stix wrote:*EDIT2: the current pvp system is kinda broken thx to eating to restore health instantly
Plus: Minetest Game is not suitable for PvP or PvE due to the combat system. Better use a dedicated subgame for that.

I need to keep a hotbar slot empty at all times so I can go to it when I just want to punch or take things without risking accidentally eating something or "using" tools / blocks for digging things they weren't intended to. (Which just looks weird regardless of lacking any tangible gameplay consequence.) Of course, items jump into the hotbar first, so if I happen to be harvesting plants at the time, eventually something will jump into my hand slot -- usually something edible, if any farming addition mods have been added.
Would it be weird to ask for a dedicated button to toggle between barehandedness and the last selected hotbar item, and be able to use it even if the inventory is completely and utterly full to the point where you don't have a free slot in it at all?
