I don't know. When in doubt, just check out the original mcstair mod. If there's still an error, report to the original mod author.

Don't ask me why, but I somehow removed this command from my subgame. I probably should add it back. Creative Mode in Minetest is weird anyway.


Not really important as Minetest's privilege system different and also WAY more flexible. The equivalent would be “/grant <player> all” and “/revoke <player> all”.
/op seems easy enough, however, so I might add it. But /deop is a bit trickier. I can't just remove ALL privileges from the player as this would also revoke interact and shout, making playing and chatting mostly impossible.

岩浆不破坏红石,在创造模式放置岩浆会变成空桶,物品不会从地里浮出来,地面没有草。
The lava doesn't destroy the Redstone
In the create mode placing lava will get empty bucket
Items can be buried in the nodes
No grass on the ground

按钮可以不放在方块上,拉杆按右键没用,“Spawn *”不能放在物品展示框上
Button can not be placed in the node
Right click lever will do nothing
"Spawn *" can not put in "Item Frame"

Nice job! You should definitely keep going with this. Endermen should not be so tall though. BTW could you maybe add a Herobrine mod?

  • Crafting guide! This is a little helper which tells you the available crafting recipes, cookable items and furnace fuels. You can access it in the normal player inventory, work bench or furnace. It is a direct fork of [craftguide] by jp, but adapted for MineClone 2 and will be developed independently.
  • Written Book, book with quill can be signed now
  • Beetroot, beetroot seeds, beetroot soup
  • Fire charge
  • Grass path (rightclick on side of grass block with shovel to create)
  • Carrot on a stick (WIP)
  • Pumpkin pie, rabbit stew
  • Bone block
  • Chorus fruit, popped chorus fruit
  • Salmon, cooked salmon, pufferfish, clownfish
  • Update some textures by taking textures from Faithful 1.11
  • Adjust flammability of blocks to be more Minecraft-like
  • Rename some items
  • Update and fix fishing results
  • Fix some tools getting wear in creative mode
  • Move fishing stuff into new mod mcl_fishing
  • Rename mod: “fire” to “mcl_fire”
  • Move flint and steel to mcl_fire
  • Move string and bone to mcl_mobitems
  • Move book stuff to new mod mcl_books
  • Fix cooking time of baked potato
  • Fix wield image of raw porkchop
  • Fix probability of tall grass drops
  • Fix iron trapdoor being unusable
  • Make lever, redstone repeater, note block and some other things act on a right-click instead of punching
  • Don't use up bucket contents in creative mode
  • Adjust light levels to be more Minecraft-like
  • Increase stack size of heads to 64
  • New crafting recipe: Book and Quill + Written Book → Written Book (copied)
  • New crafting recipes: Book and Quill, White Wool, Flower Pot

As you see, I have fixed some of the reported bugs. Keep the bug reports coming!

Fun fact: Herobrine was an easter egg in MineClone by daredevils, but I removed him as he is not actually part of Minecraft. But anyone could try to go ahead and re-implement Herobrine as a separate mod, it would probably not even be hard. Look in MineClone for inspiration. I personally don't feel like making a Herobrine, so you're on your own. Getting MineClone 2 done is much more important, of course.

Here's some of my feedback (I actually play Minecraft)
I'm going to say these in no particular order

1 If you brake blocks in creative they shuld disappear not drop the item

2 why doesn't this work with v7 mapgen?

3 oak trees have the wrong shape this is what they look like (it's the one most left)

4 the sign doesent use the correct texture also can you make it so you can rotate it in 8 detections instead of 4

5 heads (block not mobs) same as sign can you make it so you can rotate it in 8 detections instead of 4

6 snow makes grass sounds if placed walked on or dug

7 the back of the skeletons ribcage is invisible

8 creepers body has stretched pixels (dount do this it looks bad and amateur also Minecraft doesent have any stretched pixels on textures (most other mobs have the same problem)

9 end rod looks too yellow it shuld be white also it shuld make particles

There's still more stuff but that's for later ( My Head Hurts from all this typing XD)

Because I didn't add biomes.
I am currently at the “blocks” phase, meaning that I primarily add all the blocks of Minecraft. This has the top priority.
Biomes and structures come later.

I try to keep it up as long as possible. Let's see if I will make it to the end. My work here would not be possible without the work of many other people from which I took stuff. The available resources speed up development considerably.

Here I have some more feedback

1 The sea lantern shuld have an animation

2 the bed is stretched if you hold it in your hand also if it drops on the floor

3 the hopper needs its own texture (now it uses the coal textures I think)

4 mushrooms shuld disappear if not in shadow

5 you can't put a hopper in item frames

6 you can't put a sign in a item frame

7 you can't put bone meal in an item frame

8 itemframes shuld be an entity so you can put blocks inside the same space as the itemframe here you can see a torch on the wall and a item frame holding a slab

9 itemframes are to big look at previous link to see the actual size

10 stone stairs dount exist in MC

11 stone slabs have a difrent texture this is what it looks like

12 dark oak sapling has the wrong texture

13 Furnace doesent rotate properly

14 wooden trapdoor doesn't have correct side texture

15 dubble tall grass has wrong texture

17 mobs are not on fire if they burn by daylight

18 slime blocks dount make slime sounds if placed broken or walked on

I somehow failed to upload version 0.6.0 correctly. Whatever, after some silent updates, here is a new changelog on top of the previous changes (version 0.7.0 + version 0.7.1):

  • Add shulker boxes in 16 colors (containers you can carry along)
  • Add ender chest (each ender chest shares a global inventory just for you)
  • Add many temporary helper crafting recipes to make some unusual items (especially mob items) accessible in non-creative mode. I did this to make even the early alpha versions more playable. For example, you can craft shulker shells and ender pearls although this is impossible in Minecraft. I will remove recipes when they become obtainable the “Minecraft” way. You can easily remove these recipes by deleting the mod “mcl_temp_helper_recipes”.
  • Change selection box of wall painting
  • Replace paintings with Faithful 1.11 textures
  • Fix not all paintings being available
  • Fix torch being not craftable. And nobody noticed. Hehehe … xD
  • Fix some issues when hoppers try to move items from hopper to hopper
  • Fix pigs not dropping porkchop
  • Add a couple of useful groups for modders, see API.md

I can't use lots of mod in this modpack

This is a subgame, not a modpack. Subgames need to be installed into the “games” directory. Extract the Zip archive into this directory. In the main menu, click on the icon with 2 grass blocks to select MineClone 2.
If you found bugs, please report them.

Oh boy, item frames seem to be very buggy. Maybe I find somewhere a mod which has a trick to solve rightclick issues.

Yes, double-sized plants still don't really exist. The current double tallgrass is actually just a cheap adaption of Minetest Game's jungle grass, which is of course not the correct implementation. This will be replaced when I add douple-si

I noticed there are flicker issues with other nodes as well (e.g. farmland). I'm not sure if I can do anything about it. :-/

17 mobs are not on fire if they burn by daylight

Status effects like burning are postponed for a while.

You can still contribute without GitHub. You can send me patches for small things. For medium things, fork the repository, upload it anywhere you like (including GitHub), make a branch, do your change in the branch, and then message me to request to merge this (with a short explanation what you added). For really big things, better notify me to avoid duplicate work. If you implement a missing Minecraft feature well, chances are good I'm going to merge this.


Sigh. I should probably add more web stuff for MineClone 2. Things are really getting out of hand. :-/
The main reason why nothing happened so far is actually just laziness. xD

This is a OpenDocument spreadsheet (can be opened with LibreOffice, Gnumeric or other modern spreadsheet programs compatible with OpenDocument) listing the current node and item progress. I will update this file from time to time, and I also heavily use it to keep track of my progress. I am mostly using this for myself, so don't trust this information 100%.

You should change wield scales of items.
Minecrafts is bigger.

And some of wielded images should be a little rotated such as shovel. Minetests digging with shovel is like puching someones head with shovel :D
