Crossbow in this game is awesome, I think the range is good (Minecraft crossbow is too poor for me) and explosive arrows are really fun to use! Keep it going!

I wouldn't like to take 72 before MCL2.

i found a few more bugs,

1) if i throw a trident its modle is (A) out of place among the blocky world cause its so smooth and (B) its purple ??????
2) the world is completely dark in the day too.It looks like you have enabled the shadows mod and it is glitching out

3) tridents do no damage to mobs when thrown and are trash when used to hit with.

I also tried to fix the trident picture bug but it now looks like this

Thanks for reporting, yes, some texture needs to be added, debug chat messages should be removed, and mob interaction should be fixed, will try to fix soon.

To make the world light again, could you please try:

have tried what you advised. still as dark as a no-moon night.it does nothing at all.

I can confirm the problem with lighting. Setting time of day changes sky, but does not light landscape. Natural source of light (e.g. lava) do still work. Light Tool from ContentDB also works. This behavior applies only to newly-created worlds, created after MineClone 5 was updated. A world I created a couple days ago still shows proper lighting with the most current version of MineClone 5. I updated MineClone 5 today through the in-game content browser, and after that, all maps I create for that game show the lighting bug.

Further testing revealed that the bug applies to mapblocks created with the latest version of MineClone 5. I opened one of the previously-created worlds, with proper lighting, then flew to the edge of generated terrain. All newly-generated terrain blocks are in permanent shadow, with a clear line visible between the old blocks and the new ones.

What's new:

+ Day light in newly generated areas has been fixed (thanks @Hello_death and @Tesseract for reporting)
+ Added trivial anticheat against flights and suffocation bombs (hi @Mr_Anderson)
+ Added trident dummy texture (but tridents still don't work fully, will improved in next releases)

and..... I found another bug.

If you try to put a map in a glowing item frame this happenes.
2) glowsqides spawn near water , not always in water
3) tridents get stuck in your head when you throw them and they go through mobs so they do no damage
4) also are redstone diamond and lapiz ores supposed to spawn on the worlds surface????

Thank you, Kay27. I can confirm that newly-created mapblocks now show proper lighting.

Is there a way I can correct shadowed mapblocks, possibly something with WorldEdit?

Didn't you try /fixlight (x1,y1,z1) (x2,y2,z2)?

Hello , i have a few requests on the trident. 1 could you change the texture or the modle? the modle is too smooth and curvy and so thin its invisible. Could you also please make then do more damage on puch and throw? they are worse than wood swords at the moment

I tried to rework tridents, but there are many stuff needs to re reworked. I asked @j45 about its status and there was an answer that tridents are not ready for the production :( Well, okay, if somebody has better model or can write better code - it's very welcome, because I'm a bit busy right now, could work on it later

Oh, by the way, @Hello_death, could you please write the mapgen name with the issue you documented above? And mapgen options maybe? I tried v7, flat, valleys - valleys produced strange result where stuff like that was just on the bottom of the ocean. So maybe it needs to be fixed, IDK, but I couldn't get the result like you did.

It was just flat with no decorations, nothing. i think the seed was "mineclone 5".

That seemed to have some effect, but only at the edges of the fixed area. I think I'll just write off the maps made with the affected version.

Okay, processes and services are more likely windows words... Minetest daemon or server - the binary file starts by some user and group, this user or group should have an access to create directory your_world/mcl_maps and create and write new files there, @Jackknife, @Tesseract.

@Hello_death thanks! I copied the seed from your screenshot and tried flat already, but there were all options checked, I'll retry without them
Update: I obviously did something wrong again, could you please tell me the state of all mapgen options you changed, like caves, etc?

all i did was enabled classic superflat mapgen and disabled all options

I’m not still sure what you mean. I’m not a programmer. My knowledge of coding is limited.
I will try to figure it out myself.
