Trying to Better Understand Server Logging Level, Possible to Further Isolate It for Terminal Viewing?

by Mineminer » Post

I thought this was control able per mod basis but VanessaE said that it's probably not possible to suppress per mod level of the logging it does.

So my further question then... Is it possible to limit the ACTION logging that goes on so that I can still see the active chat and joins?

Instead of it being EVERYTHING at the ACTION level or nothing at all?

If this not possible as is would it be possible as an extension or as an entirely new feature to the server somehow?

@sfan5 mentioned on how to shutter down chests' references in the loggings by simply editing the chests.lua to remove the according chests... inside of the minetest.log. Which I had to do for both puts and take references.

As a result I edited the chest.lua accordingly.
