The monuments are a lot smaller than in MC, based on the pyramids mod. Plus there is no mining fatigue, so you can simply dig right in. I don't think there are water breathing potions in any of the MT potion packs so far, so I did not want to make things too difficult. But yeah, a diamond sword is always a good thing to have in any situation. :-)Lizzy wrote:Now I can make a private server and download some maps and put them in backup file in my USB key. For ocean monuments I need potions of apnea and a powerful sword.
Installing mods is too complicated for me

Re: Installing mods is too complicated for me
Mining fatigue is horrible and I have seen this in The Craft let's play from Bob Lennon and TheFantasio974. Finally! After a month of various problems, I can play in Minetest.
Re: Installing mods is too complicated for me
The chest inventories look a bit wrong in the UI Stampy game. I think maybe it's because craftingpack was deleted? You can use the chest fine but the background grid image isn't there. So maybe that is something I could look into, how to better combine craftingpack and Unified Inventory.
Re: Installing mods is too complicated for me
Is The Quest not The Craft, my bad. Yup, Unified Inventory works since the craftingpack is removed. What is the craftingpack?
I don't think the craftingpack and Unified Inventory are compatible.

Re: Installing mods is too complicated for me
Crafting pack adds a MC-like crafting table to MT.
I've already pushed a fix for the chest problem above to GItHub, download URL is the same as before. The chest and furnace now have their proper backgrounds again:

This is what I thought, the craftingpack is not compatible with Unified Inventory.

Lavender with music? I play in Minetest without music but your mod sounds nice.Xanthin wrote:It was a joke, but one with consequences. :DTenPlus1 wrote:What about a lavender mod ?

Yes, it changes player inventory to remove 3x3 crafting. So I just copied the chest / furnace background textures to the default textures folder to fix this issue.Lizzy wrote:This is what I thought, the craftingpack is not compatible with Unified Inventory.

In the Stampy Game (Unified Inventory Version)? How to turn off the music? It doesn't have the volume for music, just a master volume.Morn76 wrote:Lizzy wrote:This is what I thought, the craftingpack is not compatible with Unified Inventory.

Re: Installing mods is too complicated for me
Delete the MinetestAmbience mod folder from the game.Lizzy wrote: How to turn off the music? It doesn't have the volume for music, just a master volume.
If you edit the MinetestAmbience init.lua you can also e.g. select music volume, e.g.
local music_volume = 0
Then you will still get water/cave etc. sounds.
Re: Installing mods is too complicated for me
In Video games, I never play with the music since the PlayStation 1. In the Stampy game you've fixed what exactly?
Re: Installing mods is too complicated for me
Fixed the missing backgrounds for chests/furnaces.Lizzy wrote:In the Stampy game you've fixed what exactly?
The Ambience mod music is very nice, give it a try. :-)
Re: Installing mods is too complicated for me
In the Unified Inventory Version? In Minetest, you can't turn off only the music.

yesLizzy wrote:In the Unified Inventory Version?
You can if you e.g. edit init.lua like I wrote above.Lizzy wrote: In Minetest, you can't turn off only the music.
Re: Installing mods is too complicated for me
It's still buggy though: No actual lavender scent came out of my PC when I used the mod. :-)maikerumine wrote:Dude! this is great! I'm adding it to my family server!!!Xanthin wrote:It was a joke, but one with consequences. :DTenPlus1 wrote:What about a lavender mod ?

Now you have a ambiance volume and a music volume.
Re: Installing mods is too complicated for me
@ Morn76 How I can download the Stampy game (Unified Inventory Version) with latest fixes you have made?
Re: Installing mods is too complicated for me

Re: Installing mods is too complicated for me
I'm unable to see the latest fixes in Unified Inventory file.
EDIT: Is in textures file.

Re: Installing mods is too complicated for me
I don't want to keep ocean monuments and temples without "keep inventory=true" command cuz is a big torture.
Re: Installing mods is too complicated for me
The dropondie mod looks for keepInventory in minetest.conf, so yeah, you can set it there if you want.Lizzy wrote:I don't want to keep ocean monuments and temples without "keep inventory=true" command cuz is a big torture.
But like I said, the monuments in MT are not as big and deadly as in MC.
Re: Installing mods is too complicated for me
I'm tired to loose my stuff when I get killed. I don't have drop on die in minetest.conf
