Re: Installing mods is too complicated for me

I have more time because my girlfriend returned at her home Thursday therefore her stay at my home is finished. She have seen Minetest but she don't want to play with me. Maybe with the Stampy game.

So...I extracted the subgame in games file and it works. Is not easy. Cool, I can throw snow balls. ^^ I need mod for spiders, Unified Inventory, a mod for skins and for craft an armor. Thanks Morn.

I still need to test a couple of things for a server, in single player and that's it.

Be continued...

Skins and armor are already included in the subgame ("player_textures", copy your textures to player_textures/textures/. You can use MC PNG texture files.)

A standalone spider mod is here (I think it can coexist with simple_mobs): viewtopic.php?f=11&t=10045&hilit=spider

Minetest won't start with the subgame. Change skin is impossible to change.

Error message? (get it from ".minetest/debug.txt")

You need to rename the PNG file to player_playername.png and move it to the folder I mentioned.

It would still be nice to see the error message from debug.txt though. :-)

It's a crash without error message. I'm unable to use Unified Inventory. I can't do anymore with Minetest. Minetest play with my nerves.

There is always lots of output in debug.txt even when MT runs normally. There should definitely be something there! You may have to scroll to the bottom of the file though.

If you are talking about my subgame, I think you need to get rid of inventory_plus from the craftingpack mod. Inventory+ and UI may not get along.

I absolutely need Unified Inventory, otherwise it's too complicated for me.

The first reflex when the game crashes : go to debug.txt and see the last lines. Even if you don't understand the error message, paste it on the forum.

Lay off the poutine for a week, take a good fish oil/vitamin B supplement (it will calm you right down), and then submit a proper MT bug report so we can help you.

Lavender calms me. Installing mods is not simple.

Minetest for Windows, with stampy_game pre-installed. This is my last attempt to help you. I don't hide that I'm bored, I will no longer watch this topic.

Anyway I'm temporarily leaving Minetest during the exams period.

Thanks Gael. Having problems with Minetest is not a crime.

Only one problem remaining. How to use Unified Inventory in the Stampy Game? I really need Unified Inventory and personally is the best mod for the inventory.

Like I said above, remove the crafting pack from the game and add unified inventory instead.

Few days ago, I removed the craftingpack mod but Unified Inventory won't work. Maybe a better luck this time.

Here is a modified Stampy game with Unified Inventory:
https://github.com/mdoege/stampyu_game
https://github.com/mdoege/stampyu_game/ ... master.zip

What I did:
1) remove craftingpack
2) add the UI folder
3) add "default" to depends.txt for UI (otherwise UI only worked in Creative, not Survival)

Make sure Unified Inventory is NOT turned on when you click "Configure" for a map.

Works fine but the skeletons have both eyes in the same socket, a cow has tried to swim (she took drugs or what?) and a creeper has tried to fuck me up. lol It's time to install some mods. Unified Inventory works in survival. Thanks Morn. ^^

Great to hear it finally works. Don't miss the ocean monuments and jungle temples. :-)

Now I can make a private server and download some maps and put them in backup file in my USB key. For ocean monuments I need potions of apnea and a powerful sword.
