Falling blocks collapse as dropped items

Sometimes falling blocks when fall collapse as dropped items.
For example, column of 5 sand/gravel blocks falls down and when it touches the bottom, there are 4 sand/gravel blocks with 1 collapsed as dropped item.

Falling nodes work well but aren't perfect, they can fall and one of them doesn't find an empty space to land which results in a dropped item so that the node isn't lost.

It happens quite often, by the way. Especially when you strew deep water reservoir with sand, by holding right mouse button. After digging out all the sand, you understand that you strew more than needed — every second sand column contains collapsed sand item.

Yes, this is a real bug, I can confirm this in 0.4.15.
The developers have been notified just now by posting a GitHub issue.
