Shift clicking not possible on minetest android version

When i was playing minetest on a phone using version 0.4.15 i noticed i wasn't able to pick up a minecart. This should be possible by holding the down button while tapping down on the screen, yet it doesn't. Can this be fixed?

Ok ill try but i'm pretty sure that was the button i was using.
