Problem crafting

Hi,

I'm new to Minetest an I hope, this is the right board for my question.

I installed the subgame "Minetest TNG" version 16.07 (latest update), my Minetest version is 0.4.15 (with Debian stretch). I can create a world, looks pretty good. But I have problems crafting. I have the crafting guide with the recipes (most of them similar to the "default" game), but most of the recipes don't work. I can't craft a stick, a torch or a furnace. But I can craft a wooden slab or stair. Anybody an idea?

I installed La-Test Version (for MT 0.4.14) and with this version crafting works!

FYI: The latest stable version is 0.4.17.1. What you installed is more than two years old.

I solved the problem with help from the german forum:

missing recipes in
Minetest_TNG/mods/default/lua/items/misc.lua

errors in Minetest_TNG/mods/default/lua/register.lua => I copied it from La-Test-Version, so I can't say, what was wrong

The La-Test Version (for MT 0.4.14) works good, the other version after copying the two files from the newer version as well.
