Licenses
This is not a real problem but I want to upload a map. Before coming back I need a license I wanted to ask which there is. I also need the same for mods.

Re: Licenses
Well, you can assign various licences of free-extended software: LGPL, GPL, WTFPL or MIT. If honestly, i don`t see big difference between them because it is just free software and i elect them arbitrarily.
Re: Licenses
For the CreativeCommons-Licenses (CC), you find help there:
https://creativecommons.org/choose/
You can choose, what you want, that the user can do with your map, and then it tells you, what license you should use.
I use the CC BY SA for my maps. Many other users uses the CC BY, where the users can use your works under nonfree licenses too.
For MODS you should use software licenses.
WTFPL ist like the CC0.
BSDL like the CC BY.
GPL like the CC BY SA.

Re: Licenses
Depends on what you want others to be allowed to do with it. Don't you care at all? Then CC0/WTFPL may be a good idea. If you want at least your name beeing mentioned and thus credit to the creator given, CC-BY/aequivalent license for code would be best. Do you want to ensure that others who modify your work have to distribute it under the same conditions? Then it's CC-BY-SA. There are also licenses which are more suitable to code (e.g. the diffrent versions of the GPL), and others which are better suited for media (textures, models, images, ..) (creative commons licenses).Phoenixflo44 wrote: I just posted a few things. Which license would be good there?
