adding screenshots

when i try to add a screenshot to a post that is more than 1 MB i get a screen showing http error. how do i fix this?

Convert it to a jpg so it's smaller? Give the poor old server a break, it needs all the spare bandwidth it can get.

* reduce picture size, file size
* upload it somewhere else and link it
