minetest not connecting to content db

Hello all. MY problem is that i cant connect to cdb from the main page of minetest. If i try to go to the site theres a 'privacy error' so i cant install any new subgames or mods. pls help me out

It shows there is a security risk an dosnt allow me to conect.The error is:

content.minetest.net normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Chrome tried to connect to content.minetest.net this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be content.minetest.net or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Chrome stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.

You cannot visit content.minetest.net right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.

Mmmh, there seems something wrong with your system. I just tried and I can access the page normally.

Any protection tools running that might alter HTTPS traffic? Some desktop firewalls might break encryption to analyze the traffic and re-encrypt it with an own certificate. Or even simpler: Date and time on your machine are correct?

In Chrome click the lock symbol left of the URL in the address bar, and click Certificate. It should say the certificate is for content.minetest.net and the issues is Let's Encrypt (R3).

You need to install updates to your OS. A letsencrypt root cert expired and was replaced

Either that or you're being man in the middled, because that cert isn't correct

I am using the lates version of ubuntu (20.04 LTS) and i update it evry chance i get.

Also what do you mean by 'man in the middle?'

Also i cant access any server in minetest and cant get the online content from minetest. the errors are 'cennection timed out' and 'no packages could be retrieved'.

In the serverlist i cant see anything and when i put in capture the flags server address and port it says' connection timed out'.

I wonder where it.domain.name comes from. The certificate should be issued to content.minetest.net.

You should create a new user account for testing purposes and log in with that account and try to access the site again to sort out any user-specific configuration issues.

Try using a VPN.

Try using some other internet connection, eg. a friend's, a public wlan, internet sharing from your phone or maybe a VPN. If that works, then there's something wrong in your internet connection - maybe the router has been hacked, or if not, then it's your ISP who's messing with you.

Try booting your preferred live linux and test using that. If it works, your installed operating system has been compromised and you need to back up all important files and re-format and re-install the system partitions.

This is actually kind of serious. If you decide not to solve this, I recommend avoiding using internet banking and stuff like that on that computer.

What is "it" exactly? "A new account" in this case means creating a new Linux user on your computer logging in with this user and then start the browser there. If you did this and you still get this weird it.domain.name for the certificate instead of content.minetest.net then there is definitely something wrong with your system and you should do what celeron55 suggests.

Also check the validity period of the certificate: It is invalid since June 2021. So there likely was something done between March and June 2021 and it never got updated afterwards.

i already had an alt so tryed in that . same result. tried with a hotspot . works fine with hotspot and other internet.
