Unable to eat.

I pick up an apple, and left click. It just treats it like it's my own hand and digs. I don't want to dig, I want to eat! Help?

Try wielding your apple and right clicking :)

It's left click
Left: to use an item
Right: to place it

Point your pointer in the air, and then left click. See if this helps.

This wouldn't make sense. In reality you can eat apples if you look onto the bottom, too.
I dunno. Sometimes it happens to me too. But then again, I don't usually play survival.

If you have a bad connection to the server (i.e. high latency) then it might take a while until the item is eaten.
