I'm having issues even loading the title screen for minetest... This is what the cmd window gives me...
Irrlicht Engine version 1.8.0
Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 (Build 2600)
Using renderer: Direct3D 9.0
NVIDIA GeForce2 Go (Microsoft Corporation) nv4_disp.dll 6.14.10.5673
Currently available Video Memory (kb): 77824
Resizing window (800 600)
Resetting D3D9 device.
Loaded texture: C:/Documents and Settings/DELL/Desktop/minetest-0.4.9/games/minetest_game/menu/header.png

11:00:06: ERROR[main]: Some exeption: "Illegal instruction"
Direct3D9 begin scene failed.
This is what the command prompt showed, I clicked the file in the bin folder and all it would give me (after I changed the video_driver to direct3d9 due to not having accelerated opengl) was this on the command prompt screen and a grey screen... Help?
EDIT: Oh, I'm using a Dell Latitude laptop, and Im on the Minetest version 0.4.9
EDIT 2: Oh, forgot about the debug... Here it is...

Re: Minetest Not Starting Up...
Hello, could you check if this problem still exists in a in-developement build?Walternash3 wrote:EDIT: Oh, I'm using a Dell Latitude laptop, and Im on the Minetest version 0.4.9
Also, why are you not using OpenGL? Does it output an error?
EDIT: ignore possible answers by sfan5 with Windows XP bold marked ;)

Re: Minetest Not Starting Up...
What extensions does it support? (I think CPU-Z will tell you that)Walternash3 wrote: I wouldnt doubt it, I've been meaning to do some work on this pc, swap out hard drives, change proccessors, etc... It's pretty old, came out around the time windows xp did...
