Hi, I'm not sure if this idea came already, but I think it may help in many ways.
Is there a possibility to make a client download a server data ONLY if there were change since previous login?
It may decrease server load as well as make login quicker.
In order to prevent players from making local changes a client may calculate a hash from files and compare it with server side hash.

There's already a client-side media cache.
