The recording starts, but always when I reach a buffer, the recording cancels. No idea, what I am doing wrong.

Both buffer must be yours, try to replace the buffers and then do the recording again.

All buffers are mine. I am the only player. I tried replacing, but no luck.

Nice mod, I'm testing it on my singleplayer world, everything works fine for now.

Except...the ballast slope is... useless, since the rails adopt automatically a "slope shape" on top of the whole block, so it looks like "levitating" half block higher than the ballast.

Now, I'm going to build an airport tarmac with all this ballast nodes I crafted :-D

You have to place the ballast slope block one block deeper, so that the rail fits to the slope

Yes, but unfortunately not on heavy loaded servers. But I am currently working on that issue.

Ooooh, okay.. this way works, thanks !
Maybe a good idea to add this info in the readme, and contentdb description ;-)

Well, hope you can find a way to slove that.
Still, in singleplayer, I made a route that is about 3000 blocks lenght, and the carts travels, load and unload with the hopper nicely ;-)

Minecart v2 available!

Minecart has been updated:
  • New rail finding methods
  • Increased cart speed
  • Speed limit signs
  • Cart terminal to get the state of all carts

Hello,
How to ride the cart? I tried right clicking like normal cart, cannot do.

Thanks in advance

(Nevermind, I got it. You have to deselect the cart first, then right click. Cool mod!)

Hello!
I am having trouble with route recording. I have done as instructed: set up two buffers with rail connection, then run the minecart between them. However, it did not show the recording dashboard, and the buffers say "not connected" still. I'm on minetest 5.4.0-dev-10.13.6, with minecart mod from techage modpack, if that's relevant.

You have to use the minecart cart, not the cart from the carts mod

That is what I was using. To add to that, There is another issue for me, maybe because of the version: when I right-click on a minecart (as in, the one from this mod), it does not put me into it. I have attached a video to better show my problem. Although after some trouble, I managed to get the recording kind of working, the problem is that it does not put me in the entity minecart every right-click, only works very rarely.

Update: the right-click stuff might be a problem with my mouse, and the recording seems to work (the chat messages say that the route is stored), however the buffers still don't show that they are connected.

That ballast looks absolutely filthy! I think I'll stick to normal gravel.

You have to punch the buffer for an update of the infotext.
But I fixed this in the code in addition.
