Mod Request: Trains

I see there was a mod that made a "ridable block with rails" could someone take that and make it so that instead of a ridable block its a train? (maybe a bunch of entities parenting the entity riding the actual track)

i dont think cart are rideable yet. but when its done im sure this will be possible

yes there was a mod where you could make rails and then punch the block and it would make the cart go..but it has been taken down i believe and it was for the new api not the old

not that one, there was one with punchable blocks and booster tracks and it was amazing

I better wait a while until there is a way to make better 3d objects. Just a blocky train would be boring in my opinion.

what!? mc has Square minecarts. i dont see any problem with it being square.

Don't bump! This is two years old!

If you had looked on the forums, you would have found carts. You would have also seen that no trains mod has been released.

Because there is a cart mod couldn't someone change the texture? i mean after the texture people could begin working on where the character sits then a hud for materials that make the train move automatically, that hud could be altered after time, maybe to include how far the train would travel.

Can somebody make a train mod like minecraft mod.
With steam engines ,passenger carts and oil tanks that move on tracks.
Minetest does not have a proper train mod.
