Re: [Mod]mymonths[mymonths]
Could this mod be possibly made more compatible with moresnow (mg_villages modpack) and ethereal mapgen

Re: [Mod]mymonths[mymonths]
It probably could be. I'm rather short on time right now, and Don hasn't been around for a while, but we'd welcome pull requests.

Re: [Mod]mymonths[mymonths]
Is it possible to add the time into "my" laptop mod?

The time and date are all globally accessable, so ya, you could add a calendar that would display that information.

I'd love it if you added rainclouds to this thing. You could look up and see if it'll rain/snow, and how big it'll be.

Re: [Mod]mymonths[mymonths]
You could use the clouds API for that, making the clouds denser when it rains...

We had plans to do more stuff with this mod, but Don and I have both not have a lot of time for mod development lately.

Re: [Mod]mymonths[mymonths]
I'm a new user of this mod, and am also experiencing this bug. I'll see if I can fix it on my end (will post my solution here if so!).Heraclitus wrote:Thanks for the quick reply. I agree that a simple solution (like just turning off the sound if player is below some Y value) isn't going to account for all cases. But it would at least cover scenarios where you're hundreds of blocks underground and it makes no sense at all to hear rain.
By the way, something really bizarre just happened to me. The mod was working fine yesterday (I had a version installed that was from early September I believe). But before I posted, I thought I'd download the latest version to be sure the sound was still an issue.
Anyhow, after installing the new version, rain is suddenly appearing even underground. It mostly seems to "follow the player," i.e., it won't start raining underground with the storm, but if I'm above ground and then descend to an underground room, the rain appears "indoors" (below many blocks of dirt and stone). Even weirder, the rain (at least visual effect of it) won't stop when the storm clears until I ascend back up to the surface, at which point all the rain dissipates.
I'm reasonably certain I didn't see this behavior before. Did something change between September and now that could cause this?

Maybe the mod entered the phase of reverse development :D Anyway, it's better to keep old versions, just in case.

Re: [Mod]mymonths[mymonths]
How well does this mod work with the newer versions of minetest? Making a subgame that intends to *feel* realistic and immersive and this will go along well with it.

Re: [Mod]mymonths[mymonths]
I haven't touched the code in ages, but I expect it probably still works alright. You might want to remove the code for the weather effects, rain and snow, but the core systems should still function just fine. I wouldn't be surprised if you get some deprecated function messages in debug, but those should be pretty easy to fix.
