  1. fixed bugs (all of those AFAIK)
  2. adding sounds to entities (working very well should be pie)
  3. clearing the mistakes about licenses (lol it's one of those mess!)
  4. animations (pain, pain and even more pain!)

working on a "sound table" which contains, for example, attack sounds, hitting sounds, random sounds and death sound for 1 mob!

Corrected a random move bug, making only flying mobs work... and re added sheeps!

Probably has to do with the mod/thread name. Can you change that so that the title reflects what the mod is about? Forum search is...tricky at best. People who are not familiar with your mod will not pay much attention to the thread.

I'm sooner or later going to search for a mod that has mobs which can do tasks - "work" as lumberjack, miner, farmer (all in designated areas), run around between said areas, navigate inside (well-known) houses, talk, pretend to build houses (=mostly stand there and show some dig/place animation from time to time), defend villages against hostile mobs, ...not sure yet which mod will be best suited for that.

Yes, that's a very nice mod. It might just be that they're a bit too intelligent at times :) Why work as a lumberjack if the player will give you the wood anyway? :)

Too destructive for my taste. I'm working on pacifying the Titans in AdventureTest by killing all those that attempt to throw bombs :-) Mobs that destroy above-ground structures are usually not allowed in my worlds.

I added a parameter to choose if you want the "false" explosion or the tnt_explode function ! works like a charm!
just need to add a little thing for debug tracker. Then i will do something simple to turn aggressive mobs into peaceful mobs when another option is choosen. release today or tomorrow if i have enough time :) hope you will like that sokomine!

Added a parameter which deletes all evil mobs and let peaceful mobs in peace! releasing 1.0!

Changelog for Update 1.0

  1. Corrections:

  2. Removed bugs with Fireballs and Bombers
  3. Improved code stability
  4. Cleared TNT code and modified functions
  5. Improved moving and corrected bug of non-moving entities (move_random mistake)
  6. Changed debug helper functions
  7. Changed drops for mobs

    Additions:

  8. Added mod's first weapon: the Fang, dropped by bats
  9. Updated many mobs
  10. Added random sounds for mobs (positionnal sounds)
  11. Added swimming functions which allows mobs to float but also to track you underwater

    Sokomine's requests:

  12. Added a parameter allowing to tweak explosion damage on blocks (break or don't break)
  13. Added a parameter which only allows peaceful mob to spawn

fireballs are throwing to much! there should be a break after some balls!

will you be adding animation code soon? i really like this mod but i dont use it much because i hate the static look that happens with no mob-animation.

About animation, reading rubenwardy's Minetest Modding Book I've found these links:

not sure it they match your needs (haven't read them) but might be worth checking.

As usual, dig into mobs redo code. There ia a set_animation call which uses frames as defined in the mesh file you can use

I might give it a lok in myself if/when i get the time....
