Thank you, I'll try it out. But am I understanding this correctly then:
as long as you don't generate water or lava in your stock mapgen caves
Meaning, all lava and water from, say, mgv7 needs to go?

I guess that's not what you meant, because here's a regular mgv7 lava cave at ≈-900, which makes me happy.

If I want to disable certain cave layers, how should I do it? Simply erase it's definition in underworlds_mod.underzones?

Yes, just remove the underworlds you don't want, though I moved the definition table to init.lua.

What I'm saying about the lava is that the mapgen caves will frequently leave lava suspended in mid-air in underworlds. You don't have to do anything about it as long as it doesn't bother you.
Believe in people and you don't need to believe anything else.

@Milan, did you get already the depth settings managed for the different underworld/caves mods? I am highly interested because I like to use all the mods too at the same time in the same world.

well there aren't at the same depth (underworld is pretty deep) so it shouldn't cause much problem. If I remember my test, underworld overrides nether. It sin't unplayable at all. But it might look weird for sure.
