The block, ore, ingot (gem), and "lump" (orb) are actually textures from my Minecraft mod Spectrite.azekill_DIABLO wrote:what a colorful texture. really sweet. will add to voxellar

For whatever reason I was not informed that these would be used here. OP, my mod may be under the creative commons license, but would it hurt to give some credit?

Re: [mod] Ore [spectrite]
OP didn't need an account to steal the textures from there - the mod/patch(?) can be downloaded directly from there. The license and the author of them must be specified, as they're licensed as CC BY-NC 3.0.Chem871 wrote:I don't know if anybody here has an account on any Minecraft forums :/
The other issue is that changes in the code or in the work must be documented, that's what moreores' zlib license prescribes. There's neither a commit on the repository nor a notice in the documentation that describe what changes were made.
Not too important now but helpful for later development: If you host your mod on GitHub, then please do not upload an archive with the contents. There are applications like GitHub Desktop that can "upload" these files all together. Keeping the files in a package makes it impossible to read the code online or clone the repository directly to the mods/ directory.

you need to get this sorted out;
I don't think you can just relicense this man's artwork
If you are going to use his media you need to include a copy of his license
and give proper credits to him as the creator
of whatever textures you are including in your mod that originate from him.
Also why do you relicense more-ores mod to GPL-3.0?
can't you just use more-ores as a depend
and use it's API to register your add-ons?
