Works already very good.

Only thing I found is that you use minetest.dig_node in the rollback function.
That will not work in every situation.

I opened a pull request on github. If you have a better solution, just ignore it :)

It is too bad this was abandoned. Some of us would love to have something such as World Edit which takes material from player inventory.
