I'd like to suggest all trees to be generated in v6 and floatlands. I've done it in my fork and I've created a pull request.

Thanks for creating this mod. 16x16 versions of the Mahogany Tree textures will be used in the next version of my Star Wars game for the Gnarlwood tree.
Check out my Star Wars subgame.

v3.20

- Willow and baldcypress now have larger basement, 1 node more that goes underground, this is better for a suitable fitting on the terrain steps and if close water.

I already have the mahagony tree mod installed. Is this modpack a drop-in replacement?

This one: https://content.minetest.net/packages/runs/mahogany/
Whatever I say is CC0

This is outdated. I would like to remove it, but I can not. So use the mod inside cool trees better.

Hello,
Sorry, I'm new to minetest.
Congratulation for the Mod, is very cool!

I'm trying this Mod but I have three problems:
- When I remove the trunk of some trees the leaves remain in the sky and do not fall on the ground like other trees (so if I need to cut the chestnut and plant a new tree it take a lot of time).
- The fruit (lemon, clementine, chestnut, pomegrenade and coconut) don't respawn. When I collect the fruit I need to remove the tree and plant a new sapling.
- I don't understand how to obtain cherries. All the cherries tree are without fruits.

1) Which ones?

2) You're right. Maybe I will implement a respawn function.

2) The Cherry is the only fruit that respawns, after some time the leaves turn into cherries. Await and tell me.

1) Lemontree, cherrytree, mahogany, clementinetree, ebony, chestnut, larch, maple, baldcypress, pomegrenade, jacaranda and willow don't fall on the ground. Palm, birch and bamboo are ok.
2) That will be very cool!
3) For the cherry, nothing to do, I was 3 days (game days) in front of two cherry trees but I see anything :(

I'm using Minetest 5.3.0 in v7 world

Thanks. I will improve/fix this with more temperate trees for my upcoming Temperate Raining Biome.

I believe that in Minecraft the leaves decay. But no they being cut by shears and then put into world for the player to create constructions. I will do this same feature too, is cool.

v4.0

- Fixed: Cherries growth.
- Added new Oak and Holly Tree trees.

Note: Now some old trees require Temperate Rainforest Biome: Birch, Chestnut and Maple.

Well, before they were added to Grassland Biome. Now they have their proper biome, leaving the Grasslands tree-free. Anyway you always can change the code to fit your desires.

This rainf dependency breaks servers that don't want, or have, the biomes that that mod creates.

This should fix it, making rainf optional. Also fixed a few places where that mod wasn't in the dependency list at all:

Merged.

The rainf and swampz dependencies was because of cool_trees getting larger from time to time. New trees were put on existing MTG default biomes = Density too big. My solution was put them on the Grassland biome, but lately was Treeland, LOL :-D.

So new versions of cool trees can be used with the default MTG game, but better in servers and tweaking the biomes/tree density.

v4.2

- Fixed regression: The tropical trees reverted to the old version working well.
- Now the temperate trees (chestnut, oak, maple, hollytree and birch) will grown in the Grassland biome as before if the temperate_rainforest mod is not present. So it is fully compatible with MTG vanilla as always.
